Are you looking to work with a fun group of people? If so, we would love to meet you!Reporting to the Supervisor, Cultivation – Flower Room, leads the harvest team in all harvest-related activities. This includes ensuring that team members wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to all safety protocols. The role also involves overseeing the entire harvest process and performing additional duties as needed.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Harvest and pre-/ post-processing of cannabis.
- Communicate and escalate all issues with the crop and/or the production process to all the relevant parties as required.
- Participate in harvest related activities such as harvesting, bagging, moisture samples, transport of cannabis, and dry room turnover as required.
- Conducting equipment cleaning
- Conducting general facility cleaning
- Recognize unsafe conditions and practices and make corrections to prevent injuries and product loss.
- Where applicable, must adhere to Aurora’s SOPs and comply with Health Canada’s Cannabis Act. In addition, must adhere to all ISO requirements and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
- Where applicable, promote and maintain GMP requirements.
- Communicate any issues with Supervisor.
- Other duties as required, and assist other departments as needed.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High School or equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year labour experience.
- Experience with plant life is an asset (greenhouse, landscaping, farming).
- Excellent communications and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to multi-task and utilize time management skills.
- Ability to work in environments with pollen and plant debris.
- Ability to lead a team and ensure all assigned duties are completed safely and in a timely manner.
- Comfortable following all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing a respiratory mask, hearing protection and safety eye coverings.
- Repetitive use of hands, wrists and forearms
- Comfortable working with step ladders (i.e. step ladder/single sided step ladder)
- Be a self-starter with a positive attitude and desire to work in a team environment to achieve overall goals.
- Ability to comfortably and safely lift up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays and after hours as required.
