Minimum Starting Salary: $93,705.00; starting salaries are determined based on qualifications and years of related experience.About the Program Planning, Development & Renewal Department at Humber:Program Planning, Development & Renewal (PPDR) is a centralized department with pan-institutional responsibilities. Working in partnership with the faculties, we lead program planning and development, renewal and review, and work on special projects. PPDR also administers Humber’s Academic Quality Framework. The Quality Framework is a system of interrelated processes that, through a program lens, help maintain and enhance our ability to provide optimal learning opportunities for students.About the Systems Analyst Role:Under the direction of the Associate Dean, Program Planning, the Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for the evaluation, planning, design, development, integration, testing, vendor management, systems integration, implementation and management of all Program Planning, Development and Renewal (PPDR) specific information systems employed throughout the office. As the primary information technology resource for PPDR, the incumbent will employ their superior technical, business analysis and project management skills to further PPDR system software and infrastructure related undertakings.This position will play a pivotal role in the ongoing assessment of business needs within PPDR and will be responsible for developing implementation plans for the enhancement of the information systems and recommending revised procedures used within PPDR. The incumbent is also responsible for data analysis, assessment and reporting needed to support informed business decisions.The Senior Systems Analyst will be responsible for establishing and maintaining security within PPDR specific systems, ensuring compliance with all pertinent institutional, legislative and Ministry requirements. Working with outside vendors, program partners, institutional IT&S and PPDR staff, the Senior Systems Analyst will ensure all departmental systems are correctly configured, reliable and current.As an agent of change, the incumbent will continually examine the current processes used within PPDR and the institution at large, with the goal of reducing costs, improving quality and enhancing the user experience.QualificationsAbout You:

If this sounds like you, keep reading:EducationThe successful candidate will possess a 4-year degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business or closely related field. Training in systems technologies, business analysis, emerging technologies (e.g. artificial intelligence) and project management is considered an asset.Experience/SkillsThe incumbent will have a minimum of 5-years related professional experience. With demonstrated experience in computerized student systems and relational databases; specifically with CRM technology, and student records systems, in a higher education context. Also, strong business analysis and project management experience.

  • Well-developed micro-computer skills and knowledge of user experience design.
  • Demonstrated experience in computerized student systems and relational databases, and specifically with CRM technology, and student records systems, in a higher education context;
  • In-depth knowledge and demonstrated experience in SQL Server 2012, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)/SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Experience in developing, implementing and optimizing stored procedures and functions using SQL
  • Experience in process redesign and facilitation of stakeholder groups through new process adoption
  • Experience with data set development, data acquisition and reporting of data for decision making
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with direct experience managing groups around a project, stakeholder relationships and in the provision of indirect supervision of clerical/analytical staff.
  • Well-developed analytical, time management & organizational skills to thrive in a busy office environment with multiple & sometimes competing deadline.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
