Sr. Buyer – Robert Half

Job Title: Sr. Buyer

Location: Toronto, ON

Job Description: We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Buyer in the heart of Toronto, Ontario. The role is ideal for a candidate with a keen eye for detail and a knack for organization. The Sr. Buyer will be expected to manage customer applications, maintain precise customer records, and handle customer inquiries. This role also includes monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary.Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner
• Ensure the maintenance of precise customer credit records
• Address and resolve customer inquiries efficiently
• Ensure continuous monitoring and management of customer accounts
• Confirm product quantities and availability with vendors
• Manage Purchase Orders (PO) in the system and dispatch to vendors
• Aid in capital expenditure tasks as required
• Use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for procurement activities
• Coordinate with the receiving team to count incoming items and forward to Accounts Payable (AP)
• Utilize Excel for various tasks and reporting.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role is required
• Proficient in Chef and familiar with other ERP solutions such as Epicor and iProcurement
• Broad knowledge and experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is essential
• Previous experience with ‘About Time’ software is desirable
• Familiarity with accounting functions and Accounts Payable (AP) procedures is required
• Proven knowledge of buying processes and global procurement
• Excellent communication skills are a must
• Experience in procurement management, functions, policies, and processes is crucial
• Ability to adhere to and implement procurement policies and processes effectively
• Experience in managing procurement functions and using procurement management tools is necessary.
