Job Description: On behalf of our Healthcare Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Solutions Architect – Federated Solutions and Governance to join our Client’s team on a contract basis. This role is hybrid and the Client is based in Victoria.Summary of the RoleThe Solutions Architect will support the process of designing and validating secure data-sharing architectures in a collaborative, federated environment. The project includes modernizing the data warehouse with cloud-based technologies, implementing Microsoft Fabric and Databricks, and enhancing data governance and security. This role focuses on enabling near-real-time data access to improve decision-making across organizations in British Columbia.Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and validate secure, scalable data-sharing architectures for federated environments.
- Modernize data infrastructure, including the implementation of cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Databricks.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, GDPR, HITRUST, and FHIR standards.
- Develop and enforce data governance frameworks focusing on privacy, security, and compliance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business goals.
- Lead architecture design and performance optimization efforts.
Core Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Data Lakes.
- Proven expertise as a Federated Solutions and Governance Architect or Technical Volume Lead.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, GDPR, HITRUST, and FHIR compliance standards.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement secure data-sharing architectures focusing on compliance and governance.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience with healthcare-specific regulatory compliance and data governance.
- Technical leadership in architecture design and performance optimization.
- Collaborative experience with multi-stakeholder environments.
- Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields (preferred).
- Hands-on experience with metadata management tools for data cataloging and lineage tracking.
TermsThis is a contract role starting January 27, 2025, and ending August 29, 2025, with possible extensions of up to 12 months. The position operates in a hybrid work environment with remote and in-office days as required. Candidates must be based in Canada and are expected to use company-provided hardware.
