Job Title: Shop Foreman

Job Description: The Wood Automotive Group is thrilled to announce that we are looking for a Shop Foreman to join our team at the new Taza Park Volkswagen dealership which is opening early 2025! This 45,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art dealership will be situated on the Tsuut’ina Nation and comes packed with new cutting-edge equipment, 25 service bays and a stylish, 20-car showroom!About the role:Reporting to and working closely with the Service Manager, the Shop Foreman will be responsible for the overall productivity and quality of the entire Service department. This includes technical service supervision and guidance, customer service/quality control administration, warranty and repair management and shop safety assurance. The successful candidate will be a proven leader with a customer service focus and must possess the knowledge and skills to perform in a management capacity in the absence of the Service Manager. Related technical experience, strong staff relations, and the ability to multi-task is required.Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Coordination of staffing schedules.
• Conducting and documenting developmental assessment meetings.
• Providing input regarding disciplining, terminating and hiring shop employees.
• Training of all Repair Facility staff including apprentice development
• Performing routine line audits.
• Assisting in developing and implementing safety and training programs.
• Assessing and managing Shop Comebacks.
• Dealing with customer disputes.
• Verifying and confirming the completion of road tests.
• Managing all warranty and retail repairs.
• Liaising with various automotive manufacturers.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Journeyman Red Seal
• Excellent communication skills, both in writing and in person
• A valid AB driver’s license and a clean and current driver’s abstract
