Length: 3 months contract with a possibility of extension
Location: Edmonton, Alberta (Remote)
Hours of Work: 7.25 Hours Per Day, 08:15 – 16:30 Alberta time, Monday through Friday

ROLE MANDATE:
The contact center program is initiated to bring consistent service to 80+ contact centers located within different ministries. These contact centers are serving Albertans, and a significant number of other departments, boards, and agencies.Reporting to the Contact Centre Service Owner, the resource will participate in development and maintenance needs identified within contact center program. This includes ServiceNow capabilities, ServiceNow integration with CX-One and associated tools.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but not limited to):
Design, develop, test and implement the contact centre solution features in ServiceNow
Troubleshoot and resolve issue in contact centre solution in ServiceNow and the integrations
Applies a broad knowledge of various technical areas to foresee and rectify problems
Liaises with business units and program areas to ensure solutions meet current and strategic ministry needs and requirements
Provide ServiceNow functional and technical expertise
Configure and customize ServiceNow modules to meet requirements ensuring the integrity and sustainability of system configuration
Execute internal testing (unit testing) and support UAT activities
Provide overall Technical Solution Quality Assurance (QA)
Support warranty activities as required
Support transition to operations (hand off) to support teams
Provides and maintains technical documentation of design and changes
Participates in agile delivery meetings
Able to quickly understand application functionalities and process
Handle and fix production defects efficiently
Provide tracking and reporting of time and status on all work as required
Identify and coordinate release schedules
Ensure planned releases remain on schedule and on trackEDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL LICENSES/CERTIFICATION:
College or Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field of study
Certified ServiceNow Application Developer (CAD) and/or Certified System Administrator (CSAQualifications:
MUST TO HAVE SKILLS:
5 years of experience in designing, building, testing, deploying, and supporting applications in a controlled production environment
5 years of experience in ServiceNow configuration, customization and development
5 years of experience in ServiceNow CSM module
5 years of experience with ServiceNow platform
5 years of experience with software development processes, and all associated best practices, methods, standards, tools, and policies
5 years of experience writing and maintaining technical documentationNICE TO HAVE SKILLS:
3 years of experience developing and maintaining web services, JSON REST API and Message queuing services using .NET C# services
2 years of experience with Contact Centre Platform
3 years of experience within a Public Sector organization
3 years of experience with various software development methodologies (i.e. agile, waterfall, scrum, Kanban, etc.).ONSITE MEETINGS:
In the event of an onsite meeting, the Government does not pay for travel to attend on-site meetings, nor any expenses related to relocation, commuting, housing/accommodation, food/drink.
May be required to attend meetings or work sessions in office on reasonable notice from the Province. At the time of providing such notice, the Province will advise of the expected duration of any such meetings or work sessions. However, time to travel and any associated expenses to and from Edmonton and/or travel within Alberta will be at no cost to the Province.
The expectation is for the resource to attend a meeting or work session in the office 1 day per month.EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS:
You will require to have own equipment
You must have your own computer and related equipment. The computer’s operating system must be a modern version of Windows or MacOS that is compatible with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and related software for remote access. Windows is preferred due to better compatibility. AVD/remote-related software will be installed on to your computer
You shall be responsible for providing all of the equipment, including computers, software, printers, supplies, desks and chairs. However, the Province shall ensure that the you have the necessary access and credentials to the Government’s system.BACKGROUND CHECK:
A standard criminal record check will be required before we start the Enhanced Security Clearance process
An Enhanced Security Clearance will be required for this position, which will be coordinated by the Government. Enhanced Security Clearance includes a standard Criminal Records Check and enhanced security including a Credit CheckMANDATORY TRAINING COURSES:
Once hired you will be required to complete all mandatory training which includes but not limited to Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and Security awareness training.
