- Graduate of an accredited Medical Radiological Technology education program.
- Successful completion of Breast Imaging 1 and Breast Imaging 2 CAMRT courses. If no one meets this qualification, CCMB reserves the right to consider completion of courses within two years.
- A member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists – Manitoba (CAMRT-MB) or eligible to obtain and be an active member prior to start date.
- Compliant with Canadian Association of Radiology (CAR) continuing education requirements for Mammography Technologists.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in working in a Digital Imaging department using RIS, PACS, and EMR systems.
- Must have a valid Manitoba Driver’s License. Must provide a current Driver’s Abstract upon hire.
- Must be able to work flexible work schedules including weekends & evenings, and willing to travel (drive and fly) to communities across Manitoba, including Northern and remote communities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be in good physical health to meet the requirements of the position including lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Must hold a satisfactory employment record.
- Must be able to legally work in Canada
Will be assessed during the interview process:
- Must have a thorough understanding and knowledge of positioning and compression, clinical and technical factors – including radiation safety, radiation protection, and quality control – relevant to perform the duties
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to work independently, as well as a positive member of a multi-disciplinary team.
Preferred:
- Previous mammography experience
Assets:
- Knowledge of Population Health and Screening Programs.
- Experience using Maxon BSP and PenRad.
- Ability to speak French
