Job Description: Job Description:We are on the lookout for a Senior Data Engineer based in Toronto, Ontario. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity in the industry. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be tasked with various responsibilities revolving around data analysis, customer segmentation, and Sigma development.Responsibilities

• Utilize your expertise in Snowflake for data analysis, reporting, and modeling.

• Support the CRM & Ecommerce business by running critical analytics projects.

• Handle email frequency analysis to understand the effectiveness of our email program by customer segment.

• Automate email performance reporting in Sigma.

• Execute consent analysis and lead the cleanse process for SFSC/SFMC/Snowflake mapping to build monthly reporting on consent hygiene.

• Generate monthly reports on the health of the email file based on consent – Marketing vs BA.

• Develop a monthly report for acquisition – new additions to the email ecosystem by channel by purchaser vs non-purchaser.

• Build segmentation analysis for average purchase cycle by segment.

• Deliver segmentation analysis for an addressable universe with a high engagement flag to identify key priority cohorts.

• Assist the CRM and Email team in building a list of data-led use cases for testing in Digital Marketing.

• Implement your skills in statistical software for predictive modeling, regression analysis, and machine learning.

• Use your proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.

• Utilize your skills in Amazon EC2, Apache Cassandra, Apache Kafka, Apache Pig, Apache Spark, AB Testing, Agile Scrum, Analytics, Apache Hadoop, Apache Hadoop YARN, and Snowflake.

Requirements

• Applicant must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in Amazon EC2 is a mandatory requirement for this role.

• Hands-on experience with Apache Cassandra is essential.

• The candidate must have worked with Apache Kafka in a detail-oriented setting.

• Experience with Apache Pig is required for this position.

• The applicant should be well-versed in using Apache Spark.

• Knowledge and experience in AB Testing is a critical requirement.

• The candidate must be comfortable working in an Agile Scrum environment.

• Strong analytical skills and experience in Analytics is required.

• The candidate should have detail-oriented experience working with Apache Hadoop.

• Experience with Apache Hadoop YARN is a must.

• Familiarity with Snowflake is a key requirement for this role.
