This national team has earned an exceptional reputation through its successful delivery of multidisciplinary infrastructure projects in Canada.Your Key ResponsibilitiesAct as structural lead and designer for small and medium sized engineering assignments, with intent to develop skills towards a future discipline lead/project manager role for larger projectsAttend site visits related to pre-design information gathering, construction and postconstruction reviewCoordinate work with other disciplines including highway/road, electrical, drainage and environmental planningAnalysis, evaluate appropriate design solutions and design of transportation structures including bridges, culverts, retaining walls and foundationDirect CAD team for drawing preparation and review deliverables prior to submission to clientPrepare and review technical reports, tender documents and cost estimateProvide tender evaluations and/or construction engineering servicesWork within assigned project budgets and schedulesMentor junior staff with regards to project workQualificationsYour Capabilities and CredentialsStrong computer skills, including experience with CAD and SAP2000, CSiBridge, SFRAMEExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong, interpersonal and presentation skillsAble to work in a team environment and excel in both bridge and multi-disciplined projectsOrganized and detail-orientedAbility to mentor technical development of othersWorks well with minimal direct supervisionExercises independent judgmentInterest in working both in the office and the field environmentValid driver’s license and access to a vehicleEducation and ExperienceB.ASc. or B.Eng. in Civil/Structural Engineering, with strong interest and experience in structures, particularly bridges.P.Eng. status and minimum 6 years of proven experience in design using Canadian codes and design standards.This description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice.Stantec is a place where the best and brightest come to build on each other’s talents, do exciting work, and make an impact on the world around us.   • Lower Mainland $107,600 – Lower Mainland $161,400 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in BC (Lower Mainland includes Vancouver & Burnaby)

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
