Job Description: Our Toronto based client is seeking an experienced SAP FI/CO Business Processes Functional Lead to join their project that will run for 3-6 months with possibility for extension. This will be a hybrid work setting with 3 day’s of on-site work required.
- At least 8 years in project environments or equivalent work experience; including SAP experience in the banking industry.
- Stakeholder management – Ability to build rapport with a variety of stakeholders and team members at different levels of the organization.
- Gather and document business requirements.
- Leverage SAP functional design capabilities to recommend and/or document functional specifications to meet business needs.
- Propose and work on technical solutions with Technology partners.
- Analyze the pros/cons of a solution to propose a recommendation.
- Analyze changes, impacts and recommend actions and/or alternatives.
- Analyze risks/issues and recommend mitigation/actions.
- Act as subject matter advisor for the supported business processes in collaboration with business process owners.
- Act as main liaison between Business and Technology.
- Vendor management (software and service providers).
- Effective communication with stakeholders to manage expectations and negotiate.
- Promote the platform internally with senior leaders, business relationship owners, third parties and others.
- This position may have responsibility for supporting multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both written and oral.
- Ability to communicate complicated matters in a simple, structured way to stakeholders and senior management.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaboration skills – able to work in a cross functional team and ensure that all points of views are considered and understood.
- Ability to influence key stakeholders through well-articulated strategies and benefit driven value statements to achieve the results that are in the best interest of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills to interpret and/or analyze factual and conceptual information.
- Experience in systems development life cycle and system testing life cycle.
- End to end system designer (process and technology), with knowledge of cloud-based applications.
- Robust analytical skills to develop, review, interpret and document business issues and opportunities.
- Adapts well to fast-paced and changing environment.
- Business process knowledge related to SAP modules below.
- SAP related knowledge (functional).
- At least one end to end implementation project experience is a must.
- Functional understanding of upstream & downstream Non-SAP system integration.
- Clear understanding of Enterprise data structure (organization structure) in S/4 HANA finance with standard & custom chart of account code blocks.
- Experience with leveraging SAP’s controls, security roles and data quality framework.
- Experience in the following modules/areas is an asset: SAP MDG configuration, Master data modelling, Process modelling, & Work Flow configuration to support leading ledger and multi-GAAP,GL accounting Configuration & Accounting Process (S4 Hana GL & AR) including Average daily balance (ADB), multi-ledger & multi-currency accounting,SAP close and financial consolidation and elimination process in S4 and group reporting. FPSL (Financial Products Subledger) – Multi-GAAP banking product subledger accounting process. Reporting using Fiori, SAC & CDS view (S4, Group reporting, Expense ledger, etc.) Expense Ledger (Accounts Payables, Fixed Asset Management, Project Systems / Project accounting).Controlling Area (Internal orders).PAPM (Profitability and Performance Management).
