Job Title: Road Safety & Loss Prevention Analyst

Location: Winnipeg, MB

Job Description: OverviewAs the Road Safety & Loss Prevention Analyst, you will complete research and analysis for cross-functional planning and program evaluation related to the corporation’s proactive efforts to reduce losses from vehicle collisions. The Analyst will develop and prepare multidisciplinary strategic plans which include policy changes, programs and other initiatives.Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough reviews of current testing and training methods, program results and claims data to identify trends and recommend changes.
  • Evaluate current programming to identify areas of improvement and provide recommendations that support Loss Prevention strategic goals.
  • Research external trends and innovations and remain current with new developments, best practices and technologies.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders and other jurisdictions to create and refine recommendations to best support the adoption of best practices, as required.
  • Lead the development, review and finalization of policy changes in consultation with management and other internal stakeholders.
  • Develop solutions for complex business and customer service issues by conducting business case analysis, cost/benefits analysis and feasibility studies.
  • Prepare confidential documents, including discussion papers, policy options papers, briefing notes, summary documents, impact assessments and detailed proposals.

Qualifications

  • Degree in commerce, public administration, business administration or related discipline.
  • Coursework in project management, program development, analysis and evaluation is an asset.
  • Five years of related experience in research, planning, analysis or policy development and evaluation.
  • Ability to understand, interpret and evaluate researched information to build a business case and support ideas.
  • Presentation, oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in a concise and straightforward manner.
  • Demonstrated organizational and planning skills with the ability to think strategically in an environment with multiple on-going activities, tight deadlines and a degree of risk.
  • Ability to work independently, identify priorities, exercise initiative and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Legislative interpretation skills with a working knowledge of the Highway Traffic Act, The Drivers and Vehicles Act, The Off Road Vehicles Act, The MPIC Act, associated Regulations and government/corporate policies related to driver training, licensing, testing and improvement programs and standards is an asset.
