Our 19,000 associates can count on competitive salaries, top-tier medical, dental, career training, and support for continued professional development.Experience being part of a high-performing team with a fulfilling career in property management with FirstService Residential.Job Overview:Reporting to the VP of Strata Management, The Reciprocal Easement Agreement Manager is responsible for the management of client Reciprocal Easement Agreements (REAs). This includes working with Strata Operations and Client Accounting to ensure the cost sharing portion of the market portfolio’s clients REAs are understood, summary documents created and discrepancy’s between the REA and actual operations are addressed. The person would be a leader for new properties during onboarding and a support person for those seeking expertise in REAs.Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee cost sharing operations for properties within the market portfolio (new and existing properties)
  • Develop and manage a list of properties with cost sharing and provide reporting to the Executive team on status of properties (contentious issues, high risk, non-compliance, etc.)
  • Complete site visits to understand differences between completed construction and filed easement agreements.
  • Review on site equipment and provide guidance on contract setup for shared equipment.
  • Review easement agreements and collaborate with accounting to ensure that the appropriate accounting structure is set up.
  • Collaborate with accounting to develop and create cost sharing budget shell for properties requiring a budget under a cost share agreement.
  • Facilitate property handovers (new developments, transitions, or portfolio changes) for properties with cost sharing by providing an overview of the cost share arrangement, budget, contracts in place, and accounting requirements (invoice coding, financial reconciliations, billings, etc.)
  • Create a process for working with new development and new transitional properties that have a shared cost component.
  • Meet with councils and cost sharing committees to provide an overview of cost share structure, operations, and budget.
  • Facilitate and guide dispute discussions (internal and external) on cost share agreements.
  • Develop educational material for Managers on cost sharing and specifically reciprocal easement agreements.
  • Support and provide guidance to consulting team, Strata division, and Investment Properties (rental) division on matters related to cost sharing, operations structure and best practices.
  • Other assignments and projects as needed.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to become licensed by the BCFSA for Strata Management within one year
