Currently involved in some of Canada’s largest infrastructure projects, ACCIONA delivers solutions that contribute to the economic and social progress of the communities in which it operates.Job DescriptionThe Rail Corridor Access Lead will be responsible for overseeing and managing the GO corridor access planning and interface with the Go Corridor, Joint Corridor Early work contractor, subcontractors ensuring seamless coordination and compliance with safety and operational standards.Responsibilities:Coordinate with Metrolinx DP and operation team, project teams, and contractors to schedule access times and ensure minimal disruption to Construction operations.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including MX Ops team and regulatory bodies, to ensure all access activities meet required process and timeline and safety requirements.Facilitate communication between project teams and Railway Flagman, to ensure alignment and coordination between construction team and flagman’s.Enforce safety standards and protocols for all activities within the rail corridor and the transit station.Develop WPMT and Risk assessment documents on time to mitigate any delay due to access to Rail Corridor.Manage and schedule the needs of Railway Flaggers on time and submit the request in NAPT on time.Maintain accurate records of all access activities, including schedules, permits, and compliance reports.Provide regular updates and reports to project stakeholders on Go Corridor access related activities and issues.Identify and address potential conflicts or issues related to corridor and station access.Develop detailed schedules for corridor and station access, balancing project needs with operational requirements.Work Conditions:Work Location: Don Mills Area, North York. Next to Science Centre.Have the experience of working in Go Corridor.Able to perform in a fast-paced environment.May require working extended hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet project deadlines.Required Skills and CompetenciesBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction management and 2-3 years in rail corridor planning access.Experience with TTC, Metrolinx and Go Corridor Specifications and Standards for Transit Stations.Experienced with Metrolinx Engineering Access Statement and Metrolinx General Engineering Instruction.Knowledgeable on Metrolinx Network Access Planning Standards and Tools (NAPS & NAPT).Strong Understanding of Metrolinx Risk Assessment Procedure and requirement.Experienced in MX work plan methodology template and the process of Railway flagman request.Familiar with CROR and other Canadian Rail Operating Rules.Experienced in process of minor and major disruptive access and non-disruptive access.Knowledge of relevant local regulations and standards.Strong problem solving, leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.Working knowledge in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite.A commitment to safety, environment and quality, with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.A positive attitude and a collaborative spirit, with a focus on achieving project goals and enhancing team performance.ACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023 & 2024 certification in Canada, as well as the Top Employers North America 2022, 2023 & 2024 seal, which certifies the company’s commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
