No matter the season, Edmonton is made for exploring!Cancer Care Alberta (CCA) provides a comprehensive and coordinated system of care to meet the needs of Albertans, including the operation of 17 cancer care facilities across the province. Tertiary level care is provided in Edmonton and Calgary, and there are regional cancer centres with radiotherapy services in Lethbridge, Red Deer, Medicine Hat and Grande Prairie.Cross Cancer Institute is a pioneering cancer treatment and research facility in Edmonton, Alberta. As a tertiary oncology referral center for Northern Alberta, it provides advanced care for cancer patients. This institute boasts a rich history of both basic and translational research, offering clinical trials and a broad range of services.Salary Details:Compensation will comply with the agreement between Cancer Care Alberta, Alberta Health Services and the Alberta Medical Association. The annual compensation will be calculated in accordance with the Cancer Care Alberta Physician compensation grid for Radiation Oncologists ranging from $322,857.00 (£180,602.00 GBP) (level 1) to $464,743.00 (£259,970.00 GBP) (level 4). Grid placement will be based on qualifications, training, and experience. Annual Compensation is based on the contracted 210 Service days.Note: The Oncologists are eligible for Additional Workload Compensation during the position’s vacancies in Cancer Care Alberta.How CCA supports you:CCA provides a recruitment support that includes the following conditional on leadership approval: * Relocation Support: up to $10,000 for recruits within North America and up to $15,000 for recruits outside North America.

Job Duties:The successful applicant will join a team of multidisciplinary cancer programs located at the Cross Cancer Institute, Edmonton Zone and 25 Radiation Oncologists currently on staff working within the radiation treatment area. Contribution to clinical trials is expected.Qualifications:The successful applicant will have a M.D. or equivalent degree and Radiation Oncology specialist certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent. Experience in gynecologic brachytherapy is preferred.Candidates must be eligible to obtain licensure in Alberta without restriction and for medical staff appointment at Alberta Health Services. This position is LMIA eligible. AHS Sponsorship for CPSA Practice Readiness Assessment is being offered for this position.If you completed your medical residency in the UK, The (CPSA) may offer an accelerated route to licensure for eligible candidates.
