Job Description: Job Description:We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Project Manager with an Edmonton based client of ours. This role will involve overseeing various local and global projects, working out of a Project Management Office (PMO), and focusing on infrastructure and systems. The work environment offers a hybrid model, allowing for a blend of in-office and remote work.Responsibilities:

• Overseeing various project opportunities as part of the PMO team

• Prioritizing local projects while providing support for global initiatives

• Managing the transition from physical phones to teams-only communication systems

• Implementing a click-to-order solution for oil sands delivery

• Participating in team meetings outside of regular business hours

• Maintaining flexibility for late-day calls

• Utilizing IT project management skills across various projects

• Planning resources early in the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in IT project management, ideally within the Oil & Gas services industry.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

• Demonstrable ability to lead and manage large-scale IT projects from inception to completion.

• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, frameworks, and tools.

• Outstanding leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards achieving project objectives.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to address project challenges promptly and effectively.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines concurrently.

• Relevant certifications in project management, such as PMP or PRINCE2, would be advantageous.

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, such as IT, Business, or Engineering, is preferred
