Visit nuclearsafety.gc.caThe Web Modernization Team is seeking a Project Management Officer at a REG5 level until January 2026 to support web publishing, modernization initiatives, and ensure adherence to Government of Canada standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects using modern frameworks and tools in a collaborative environment.The Project Manager will work closely with the Web Modernization Team, stakeholders, and management to deliver on key objectives, ensuring the project stays on track with respect to scope, timelines, budget, and quality. This role will also involve facilitating Agile practices, driving organizational change, and ensuring effective collaboration among team members.Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
- Manage project scope, timelines, costs, and quality to achieve objectives.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to foster alignment and engagement.
- Prepare for and lead Agile ceremonies, advisory committee meetings, stakeholder meetings, and promote continuous improvement.
- Develop, maintain, and manage comprehensive project documentation.
Essential Qualifications:Education: A university degree or college diploma in project management, media, information or technology management, information technology, computer science, or software/web application development or engineering; or a university degree or college diploma and experience as an IT Project Manager, Scrum Master or Agile expert; or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and job knowledge.Language Requirements:Bilingual imperative with proficiency at BBB level. - Proven experience in project management, particularly in web or digital modernization projects.
- Driving organizational change to support modernization initiatives
- Facilitating working sessions and meetings
- Fostering collaborative, high-performing teams
Knowledge of:
- Project Management practices
- The web development life cycle, government policies, and digital best practices
- Agile principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
- Familiarity with Government of Canada web standards, frameworks, and compliance requirements
- Organizational change management strategies and best practices
Abilities and Skills :
- Provide clear direction to teams and effectively communicate with stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive alignment and engagement
- Track and report on project deliverables and progress, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met
- Provide recommendations and guidance on project-related needs in consultation with the Technical Team Lead and Senior Web Communications Advisor
- Coordinate logistics and documentation for project-related meetings
