You will collaborate closely with the Third Party Relationships (TPR) team to develop and implement a comprehensive data and reporting program. Your insights will influence strategic decision-making across the third-party ecosystem, ensuring that ATB’s third-party relationships are maximized for value, efficiency, and risk mitigation.
This role will position you as the expert in navigating ATB’s complex third-party data sources and S2P technology landscape. To do this, you’ll conduct in-depth research and analysis, translating complex data findings into compelling narratives for diverse audiences, including the TPR team, business partners, stakeholders, and executive leadership. By understanding their unique data needs and challenges, you’ll leverage your expertise to provide relevant and actionable insights, drawing from various sources like ERP systems, procurement platforms, and supplier databases to inform your analysis.

  • Develops and implements robust methodologies for data collection, analysis, and reporting throughout the source-to-pay lifecycle, contributing to the development of TPR’s Data & Reporting Program.
  • Collaborates with the TPR leadership team to define and implement performance and operational metrics, KPIs, and targets, while evolving the TPR Reporting Framework.
  • Partners with the Procurement Technology & Operations Manager to combine data from various sources as the new Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system is implemented, to enable the development of tools to support TPR’s Data & Reporting Program.
  • Plays an active role in the configuration and ongoing management of data-driven dashboards and reporting within the new CLM implementation
  • Ensures compliance with ATB’s data privacy, security standards, and data governance policies during the collection, storage, and sharing of procurement data.
  • Monitors and analyzes source-to-pay data to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and audit requirements.
  • Proactively identifies and resolves data discrepancies or gaps to ensure data completeness and accuracy.

AccountabilitiesAccountabilities continued:Spend Analysis & Cost Optimization

  • Works with Finance and Accounts Payable to understand spend data sources and structure, ensuring data accuracy and completeness for analysis.
  • Collaborates with the TPR team to identify spend analysis use cases and develops solutions, such as dashboards, reports, and automated tools, that enable the team to extract and analyze relevant data.
  • Continuously monitors and analyzes spend data to proactively identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Develops and tracks cost savings initiatives, using appropriate tools (e.g., spreadsheets, dashboards, or dedicated software) to measure and report on their impact, including conducting cost-benefit analyses to justify new initiatives.
  • Develops methodologies to track and report on the return on investment (ROI) of technology and procurement initiatives.
  • Supports the development of third-party strategies to maximize value from third-party partnerships, including monitoring budget and savings targets, leveraging spend analysis insights and cost-benefit analysis to inform decision-making.

Research & Analysis

  • Conducts research, including market analysis, surveys, interviews, and data analysis, to gather insights from both internal stakeholders and external sources. This data will be used to benchmark our procurement processes and KPIs against industry standards, ultimately helping the TPR team identify areas for improvement and strategic focus.
  • Identifies and analyzes trends in procurement data to inform TPR’s strategic decision-making and risk management strategies.
  • Evaluates the potential impact of new technologies, such as AI, ML and RPA, on procurement processes, assessing their potential to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Gathers and analyzes data to support the development of business cases for new procurement initiatives, ensuring alignment with TPR’s strategic objectives and ATB’s financial goals.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Frames insights into actionable analytic storylines, reports, and dashboards for varied audiences.
  • Effectively communicates data-driven insights to business leaders and stakeholders through visualizations and presentations.
  • Proactively collaborates with pillars within the Third-Party Relationships team and other departments, acting as a liaison between the teams.
  • Presents recommendations to drive operational efficiencies and stakeholder satisfaction.

Day-to-Day Operational Responsibilities

  • Tracks and provides regular and ad hoc reporting on key metrics.
  • Develops regular reports (e.g., TPR monthly reporting, TPR Quarterly Business Review) and ad-hoc reports.
  • Supports management-level presentations by creating materials, giving briefings, and supplying key metrics and insights.
  • Responds to ad-hoc data requests from TPR leaders, business partners, and stakeholders.
  • Provides support in troubleshooting data-related issues and answering questions from the TPR team and stakeholders.
  • Creates and delivers training for the TPR team and other stakeholders on the use of data and reporting tools, data analysis techniques and extracting insights.
  • Utilizes Scrum methodologies and Jira to effectively track operational tasks and manage activities for TPR initiatives.

Skills, experience & requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Analytics, Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, Supply Chain Management) is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, Google Sheets, Looker Studio, or similar applications.
  • Experience with SQL or other database query languages is an asset.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proven ability to identify trends, draw insights from data, and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • 5+ years of experience in a data analysis, reporting, or procurement role, with a proven track record of success in developing and implementing data-driven solutions.
  • Understanding of procurement processes, including sourcing, contract management, supplier relationship management, and spend analysis.
  • Experience with source-to-pay (S2P) technologies, such as e-procurement systems, contract lifecycle management (CLM) software, and spend analytics tools is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • A passion for data and analytics, with a commitment to continuous learning and development in the procurement domain.
