Job Description: Our client is a Canadian mining company focused on supplying critical metals, primarily tungsten and molybdenum, for North American defense, industrial, and technology sectors. Positioned as a future-leading supplier of critical metals, the company manages high-value mineral assets in the U.S. and Canada, with projects designed to secure a reliable domestic metal supply for North Americas strategic industries.Role Summary:
The President will lead the efforts to achieve near- and long-term strategic goals. This includes driving the transition of key assets, from exploration to production, establishing critical partnerships, and overseeing compliance with regulatory, environmental, and community requirements. This leader will develop relationships across government, defense, and industry, ensuring alignment with the companys mission to fortify North Americas critical metal supply.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of projects from exploration to production, focusing on maximizing shareholder value and overseeing capital allocation.
- Build relationships with government agencies and industrial partners, securing non-dilutive funding options to support project advancement.
- Ensure operations align with industry and regulatory standards, overseeing technical teams to meet project milestones.
- Develop capital market strategies, attract growth-oriented funding, manage financing rounds, and enhance shareholder value.
- Foster relationships with investors, communicate corporate strategy, and maintain transparency with shareholders.
- Represent the company at industry events, engage in speaking opportunities, and network with key stakeholders to attract partners and investors.
- Uphold commitments to community and environmental sustainability, building trust with local stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years in mining, resources, or industrial metals sectors, with proven experience in executive leadership, project management, and strategic partnerships.
- Strong background in capital markets, mergers & acquisitions, and mineral resource management.
- Demonstrated capability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects through all phases of the mining lifecycle.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with government bodies, industry partners, and investors.
