Job Title: Payroll Supervisor/Manager

Location: Toronto, ON

Job Description: Robert Half is offering a 1-year Contract for a Payroll Supervisor/Manager position in Toronto, Ontario. The successful candidate will join our team in a hybrid work arrangement, spending three days in-office. If you have previous experience with sole payroll processing and Payworks then this could be the perfect opportunity for you!Responsibilities:

• Ensuring accurate payroll processing and reviewing payroll before distribution.

• Managing year-end activities, new hires/terms, etc.

• Overseeing the administration of benefits, which is managed by HR.

• Handling payroll for both Canadian and US employees, with the latter managed by a third party.

• Resolving customer inquiries and ensuring service orientation.

• Taking responsibility for the accurate calculation of commissions.

• Proactively managing the collection of timesheets, especially for retail employees.

• Ensuring reliability and accountability in all tasks.

• Operating as the director of payroll.

• Experience with Payworks software required

• Sole payroll processing and payroll process management required

• 3-5+ years experience in a similar role

• Full-cycle Canadian Payroll experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

• Strong initiative, attention to detail, and willingness to learn

• PCP highly preferred
