The responsibilities of the position include the coordination of all Foundation events (including sponsorship requests and benefit fulfillment, logistics, volunteer recruitment and coordination, managing the event budget, and liaison with communications) to ensure events meet their goals, are marketed to appropriate audiences, and to seek new community partnerships.Foundation events include but are not limited to the Free the Spirit Festival, St.Amant Party, Autism Ride, golf tournaments, and donor recognition events.St.Amant values and promotes volunteerism in the workplace. Volunteers are an integral part of the work we do. As such and in keeping with the values of our organization, the incumbent to this role is encouraged to actively support, collaborate and invest in volunteer initiatives.​Qualifications:Education, Experience and Occupational Certification:

  • Post-secondary education from a recognized institution in a related field
  • Two years of experience in fundraising events within the non-profit sector
  • Experience and comfort with writing various forms of donor communications, letters, proposals, etc.
  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices, in the areas of special events, logistics planning, corporate partnerships, and cause-related marketing
  • Solicit for corporate sponsorships and donations
  • Advanced working knowledge of the Raiser’s Edge fundraising database software is an asset
  • Experience with volunteer coordination, scheduling, relationship building, and recognition
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, preferably in both official languages
  • Experience with other computer software including Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Commitment to working in accordance with the spirit of the mission and values of St.Amant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to and supports all policies and procedures of the St.Amant Foundation
  • Participates in the orientation and training of new staff
  • Conducts all activities within the guideline of the “Code of Ethics Fundraising Standards”
  • Assuming a lead role in overseeing day-to-day event operations of the Foundation
  • Reconciliation of all event revenue and expenses with the support of Accounting Services and acquiring intermediate knowledge of Raiser’s Edge database
  • Plans and implements Foundation fundraising events
  • Collaborates with team members to help co-ordinate donor recognition and stewardship
  • Assists in the development of contractual fundraising agreements between the Foundation and external sponsors
  • Acts as the Foundation liaison to each volunteer planning committee(s) and ensures Foundation obligations are met
  • Ensures facilities, equipment and other requirements are in place as per any event plan and logistical requirements
  • In collaboration with volunteer services and support, prepare job duties and co-ordinate schedules for volunteers of events, as needed
  • Coordinates all data entry, revenue processing, and thank you letters post-event(s), in a timely and efficient manner
  • Researches industry trends, event ideas/models and new fundraising partnerships that ensure positive growth of the Foundation’s events program
  • Participates actively in committees and team meetings, as assigned
  • Attends seminars, education conferences, as assigned
  • Identifies trends in special event fundraising
  • Plans absences in coordination with the Foundation Director
  • Cooperates with the Workplace Health and Safety committee and adheres to the regulations that are mandated by the department of labor to ensure the continuous development of a safe workplace
  • Works within Human Resource policies and procedures
