Job Description: I am a private individual in dire need of a reliable and compassionate professional for a live-out, part-time nanny position to care for my 4-year-old son, who is on the autism spectrum. This role is for someone who can provide sporadic care for my son so that I can have some much-needed respite. Given my son’s needs, ideal candidates should be extremely patient and kind and possess either formal education or experience in dealing with children with autism. The work schedule will vary, but I occasionally need care in the middle of the day and evenings from Monday to Sunday. Tasks involved in this role include transporting my son, which requires a valid driver’s license and the use of your own car. You would also be responsible for light housekeeping and ensuring my son is properly bathed and dressed. This position is ideally suited for someone who can handle fewer than 20 hours per week. My son is in the age range of 3-5 years and he would be the only child in your care during those times.
