The National Arts Centre Foundation raises funds to support the National Arts Centre’s work in performance, creation, and learning across Canada. Founded in 2000 as a separate legal entity, the Foundation has raised over $170 million to date and is currently in a $100M comprehensive campaign to support the revitalization of the performing arts across the country. With a staff team of 18, along with an active Board of Directors and Campaign Cabinet, the Foundation has a donor base of over 6,000 and raises $7M-$10M annually.Key activities:
The National Events Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the National Events team by coordinating and executing a variety of corporate and NAC Foundation-related events. This position involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless planning and execution of events, from inception to completion. The coordinator will organize all logistics, maintain high standards of quality and professionalism, and provide administrative support to the team.Specific duties may include the following:
- Assist in the planning and coordination of various events, including corporate hosting, sponsor and donor engagement, and other events as required.
- Work with the marketing team to identify creative assets for invitations.
- Draft invitations and secure bilingual content for approval.
- Source, develop, and format guest lists and monitor invitation response rates.
- Coordinate specific aspects of event logistics, such as seating plans, scenario planning, food and beverage, and technical requirements.
- Provide on-site coordination during events, ensuring everything runs smoothly and addressing any issues that arise.
- Oversee event setup, execution, and teardown.
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and keep them informed throughout the planning process.
- Perform regular updates to the Master VIP Guest List and ensure consistent formatting throughout.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings and post-event evaluations.
