If so, then read on…Background & Purpose of the JobWe are looking for Mix Maker at our Ice Cream Manufacturing factory in Simcoe, Ontario. Our factory produces brand names such as Breyers, Ben & Jerry’s, Magnum, Klondike, Popsicle, Wall’s!!In this role you will be responsible for the preparation of dairy ingredients, sugars and other powders to be used in ice cream production.Who You Are & What You’ll DoProven history of working safely in the workplacePerformance record is in good standingIn good physical condition to be able to handle the assigned job duties (i.e., Heavy lifting, pushing, bending, pulling, etc.,)Flexible and able to work shifts as assignedMust be able to follow a mix recipe and the direction of the Operator A in the staging of mixesProven ability to interpret a mix flavoring sheet and execute the drawing and flavoring of mixes to the production lineIt is a requirement that a forklift certificate be acquired, if not already certifiedSpecific chemical training will be required.Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) is an asset.What You’ll Need to SucceedEducation – High School Diploma or GED (General Educational Development) equivalentAchieving a passing grade of an operator math testCommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing with colleagues.Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.What We Can Offer YouStarting wage – $23.14/hr + wage increase up to $25.24/hrReceive a wage increase every 6 months for the first 1yearReceive shift premiums when working a night shiftGenerous performance-based bonusesHealth and dental benefits (after probation)Superior pension packageGroup home and auto insurance discountsOpportunity to grow and develop with the companyEmployee appreciation events and contestsOvertime hours & payDiscount at the company store on your favourite Unilever products!FREE ICE CREAM!Unilever Canada is an organization committed to diversity and inclusion to drive our business results and create a better future every day for our diverse employees, global consumers, partners, and communities.
