The Medical Office Assistant (MOA) will play a vital role in our practice by providing high-quality administrative and patient support. This position involves managing the front desk, assisting with patient scheduling, handling medical records, and ensuring a smooth patient experience from check-in to check-out.   • Patient Coordination: Greet patients warmly and professionally, manage patient check-ins and check-outs, and handle appointment scheduling and rescheduling.
  • Administrative Support: Answer phone calls, manage emails, and respond to patient inquiries with sensitivity and confidentiality.
  • Medical Records: Maintain and organize patient records accurately, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and up-to-date.
  • Insurance & Billing Assistance: Handle insurance verifications and coordinate billing with our finance team to ensure a seamless experience for patients.
  • Surgical Coordination: Assist in scheduling pre-op and post-op appointments, providing patients with the necessary information for their surgical journey.
  • Office Organization: Keep the front office clean, stocked, and organized to maintain a professional and welcoming environment.
  • Patient Education: Offer information on procedures, office policies, and post-op care when necessary, maintaining a supportive and knowledgeable presence for our patients.

Qualifications

  • Education: Medical Office Assistant diploma or certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office setting, ideally within a plastic surgery or specialty care practice.
  • Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with medical office software and EHR systems
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
