Job Description: BRC is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join our extraordinary and growing team as a Machine Handler in our Inventory department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with BRC’s motivated and engaging Team, where inclusivity, diversity, and positive work experiences is our top priority.THE OPPORTUNITYThe Material Handler is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Under the management of the Inventory Manager, the Material Handler will be required to work effectively with inventory duties and apply their excellent skills in detail-orientation, organization, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment all while complying with SOPs and quality standards of product and adhering to Health & Safety and BRC policies on a consistent basis.Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee all activities in the warehouse, including receiving, storing, labeling and feeding/ distributing goods.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by conducting regular stock checks/ cycle count, reconciling discrepancies, and updating the inventory data base system/ ERP system.
  • Ensure the warehouse is organized and clean, while following proper safety and security measures.
  • Oversee the loading and unloading of goods, while ensuring proper handling and storage of goods to prevent damage or loss.
  • Collaborate with other departments (Production, QC, Planning, etc.) to fulfill orders and meet customer requirements in a timely manner.
  • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures to optimize warehouse efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing department to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment and machinery in the warehouse and arrange for repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Determine and report product and equipment concern or malfunctions to Inventory Manager or next level Manager.
  • Perform all work to BRC standards and ensure the final product meets quality standards.
  • Complies with all company health and safety policies and procedures at all times. Without limitation, wear Personal Protective Equipment as recommended.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure productivity and efficiency and ensure the daily and weekly production schedule is adhered to.
  • Basic; respectful, courteous and works well with others and builds effective working relationships within the department and BRC.
  • Works overtime as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned from time to time at the discretion of management.

RequirementsQUALIFICATIONSTo be able to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Inventory and Receiving.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working in a warehouse or similar role.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems, and Proficient with computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Email and other relevant programs.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as Forklifts, Pallet jacks, and Hand trucks. Asset: Valid Forklift License
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and practices in a warehouse setting to ensure a safe and secure working environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to spot discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in English.
  • When required, able to lift materials up to 50 pounds and to carry, move, manipulate and/or position them and to move, bend, twist or maintain awkward body positions while performing work.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as required.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good team-working abilities and good housekeeping abilities.
  • Good time-management and organization skills.

  • Compensation package offering $23.23 per hour
  • Occasional lifting of moderately heavy objects may be required.
  • Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals.
  • Will be required to stand for 8 hours a day.
  • Hours of Work: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • May be required to work overtime as required.
  • Work on site at the Company.
  • May be exposed to hazards associated with manufacturing.
  • May be required to use PPE.
