Job Description: Job Description :MANAGER, ENTERPRISE ARCHITECTUREInformation TechnologyVictoria or Vancouver Lower MainlandThe OpportunityWe are seeking a Manager, Enterprise Architecture to provide a forward-looking view to develop and manage the information technology roadmap, ensuring that implementation activities are in alignment with defined strategies. This role oversees the technology strategy and direction of the target state architecture, including the categorization of emerging, current, containment and decommissioned technologies.This role provides leadership to the Enterprise Architecture Office (EAO), with its members including representation from IT infrastructure, applications, data, security and communications, and plays a pivotal role on projects by producing and/or facilitating overall technical designs.The RoleReporting to the Executive Director, Technology Services, you add value and are energized by key areas of oversight such as:
- Establishing services, procedures and controls to ensure the on-going viability and continuous improvement of the Enterprise Architecture;
- Overseeing development and maintenance of mandatory non-functional requirements pending target solution architecture;
- Leading the creation and maintenance of a business capability matrix depicting declared technologies supporting business needs;
- Guiding the development of the enterprise architecture artifacts including current state architecture, target state architecture, architectural roadmaps, referential architecture patterns and technology standards;
- Reviewing business and technical design documentation to ensure that significant new applications are aligned with overall enterprise architectural vision;
- Monitoring and reporting on industry trends and directions to influence the technology roadmap;
- Providing consultation and analysis on technology issues to various levels of management throughout the enterprise;
What you bring to the team
- Completion of a Degree or Diploma in a Computer Science, Engineering or Business;
- Experience working in an Enterprise Architect lead role, which includes strategic planning and leadership of an architecture team;
- Ability to resolve conflicting priorities and ensure successful delivery of architectural goals and programs;
- Customer focused, flexible, adaptable results oriented;
- Strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills;
- Ability to develop and implement policy and to effect change within an organization using knowledge of best practices;

The starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate’s knowledge, experience and internal equity.
