Job Description: Job Description:We are offering a contract for an Intermediate Accountant position in Toronto, Ontario. In this role, you will be a crucial part of our team, providing accounting expertise and financial support to our organization. You will be responsible for analyzing financial issues, supporting the financial closing process, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial data reported.Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial issues and provide key insights to support decision-making processes

• Participate in the month-end, quarterly, and yearly financial close process

• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data

• Maintain and reconcile schedules for various accounts

• Verify cost allocations in line with organizational procedures

• Update financial reports critical to month-end close, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cashflow, and Variance by portfolio

• Assist with research and capital requests

• Participate in the preparation of annual forecasts, budgets, and multi-year plans

• Analyze and interpret monthly budget variances with actual results

• Provide support to Directors/Managers of administrative support departments, including the preparation of operating budgets

• Enhance and develop analysis, models, reports, and dashboards by leveraging reporting tools

Requirements:

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with SAP is essential

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Proficient with Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting

• Experienced in Auditing procedure
