Job Title: Infrastructure Analyst – Contract

Location: Winnipeg, MB

Job Description: The Infrastructure Analyst is responsible for supporting the hardware and software that form the backbone of the organizations business application environment. This includes managing and optimizing servers, storage, networks, and firewalls. The role encompasses tasks such as installation, upgrades, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure the efficient operation of the infrastructure.This is a 6 month contract with opportunity to extend up to 24 months.Key Responsibilities

• Performance Management:

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of enterprise infrastructure, including servers, hypervisors, operating systems, and middleware.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Infrastructure Maintenance:

• Perform regular upgrades and maintenance of operating systems, middleware, firewalls, and wireless access solutions.
• Ensure adherence to vulnerability management standards through patch administration.
• System Operations:

• Manage backups and recovery processes.
• Conduct capacity planning to ensure scalability and performance.
• Provide hardware maintenance and support for enterprise infrastructure equipment.
• Incident and Problem Resolution:

• Respond promptly to infrastructure incidents and problems to minimize downtime.
• Maintain high availability of systems and services.
• System Design and Integration:

• Design and implement middleware software solutions.
• Document integration and middleware solutions, infrastructure architecture, and related processes.
• Perform interoperability testing of system components.
• Continuous Improvement:

• Apply process improvement methodologies to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
• Other Duties:

• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the organizations infrastructure needs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience installing and supporting hardware and software infrastructure in a corporate data center environment.
• Proficiency in administering enterprise infrastructure equipment, including:

• Firewalls
• Proxy servers
• Network switches
• Wireless solutions
• Windows servers
• Microsoft Exchange (on-premises and Exchange Online)
• Technical Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools; experience with ServiceNow is a plus.
• Soft Skills:

• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with end users in high-profile environments.
• Business and political acumen to navigate sensitive situations.
