  • HR Policy Development and Compliance: Develop, implement, and ensure adherence to HR policies and practices in compliance with employment laws and organizational standards.
  • Employee Relations: Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions while fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Administer compensation structures and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
  • HRIS and Data Management: Maintain HR and payroll systems to ensure accurate record-keeping, reporting, and data security.
  • Performance Management: Lead performance review processes, support employee development plans, and identify opportunities for training and growth.
  • Policy and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure organizational compliance with labor laws, health and safety regulations, and workplace policies.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Provide leadership and coaching to HR and payroll team members to enhance performance and professional growth.
  • Strategic HR Planning: Collaborate with leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
  • Payroll Supervision/Coverage: Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, along with compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or diploma (required)
  • Payroll Certification with the National Payroll Institute (an asset)

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Employment Standards and Human Rights
  • Clean criminal background check
  • Drivers license

Experience:

  • 5-8 years experience in Human Resource Management/Generalist
  • Minimum 3-years of Canadian payroll experience
  • Non-profit experience a huge asset
  • Past experience with HRIS and/or payroll systems

Base Salary: $85,000 per year

  • Salary based on experience and qualifications

Work Hours:

  • 30-40 hours per week
  • Flexible Schedule (Monday – Friday)

Remote Work:

  • This position is on a hybrid working model, with a minimum of 2-3 days in office.
