Individually these are just words, but together they are our Values – Care, Commitment, Community, and Confidence.We are seeking an experienced Senior Ovation Claims Advisor for any location in Canada.Come join our team!What you’ll do:Investigate and negotiate Ovation and RBC High New Worth / RBC Private Insurance auto and property claims in accordance with Aviva’s standard methodologies and handling proceduresResponsible for the issuance of payments to vendors, customer and expertsMaintain the accuracy and integrity of data collected in Aviva systemsAnalyze estimates, value of claims, negotiate, and settle claims accordinglyInterpret and apply Aviva Ovation high net worth personal policy coverage related to the lossCommunicate policy coverage and benefits to customersInvestigate and document cause of loss and quantumAbility to work in a low volume phone queue environment as a first responder for Ovation policyholders and brokersReview, comment on and approve vendor partner estimates for the cost of repairs or replacement of damaged or destroyed propertyMaintain relationships with internal and external partners involved in management of customer claimsAcquire and maintain appropriate provincial adjuster licenses and align with continuing education requirements – where requiredBe responsible for the customer relationship and outcomes on claims of varying quantum and complexityDetermine when fieldwork is required and co-ordinate the field resource required as well handle the information coming from the tasks.Ensure early identification and reaction to exposures, recovery opportunities during storm and disaster eventsClear understanding of financial elements of the property claims function to ensure we remain financially strong and deliver year on year improvement in our business performanceMaintain the accuracy and integrity of data collected in Aviva systemsIdentify and report on any suspicions of fraud or financial irregularities in line with existing internal and external requirements and proceduresContinuous improvement of customer experience/outcomes, indemnity and expense excellenceMeasured demonstration of relevant Regulatory and Legislative complianceWhat you’ll bring:Minimum 4+ years of previous first party personal auto and/or property claims handlingPreference will be given to candidates with prior high net worth/VIP or specialty market claims experienceExperience using CoreLogic, Xactanalysis, Xactimate, Audatex, Edjuster, Guidewire ClaimCenterCIP or FCIP Industry designation or other relevant professional insurance qualificationUniversity Degree or College Diploma or equivalent Property technical work experienceSuperior technical competence in Personal insuranceExperience in handling VIP/high net worth, Private Client claims handlingBasic property claims scoping and estimating understanding/knowledgeStrong verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate respectfully and compassionately and listen effectivelyComputer proficiency; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OutlookSuperior analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skillsBilingualism in a second language is considered an assetAdjusting licenses for Quebec and/or Atlantic provinces will be considered an assetWhat you’ll getThe salary band for this position ranges from $45,600 to $84,600.
