• Conduct repair work and apply mechanical skills, including troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, as well as various components and equipment
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify worn or damaged parts and recommend repairs or replacements as necessary
• Repair and overhaul engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and other major components of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment
• Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex issues and perform repairs
• Follow manufacturer’s specifications and technical manuals to ensure repairs are conducted accurately and efficiently
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs performed, including parts used and labor hours expended
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
• Stay updated on advancements in heavy-duty vehicle technology and participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge

The successful candidate has:

• Heavy Duty Mechanic ticket
• 4+ years experience
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong initiative and excellent organizational skills
• Exceptional communication skills with a focus on maintaining a professional, customer-oriented attitude
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must possess strong written and verbal communication and be able to perform basic computer operations such as opening and closing work orders

Compensation and benefits:

• Hourly rate is from $50 to $56 per hour depending on experience
