Job Title: Formwork Carpenter

Location: Toronto, ON

Job Description: A formwork carpenter constructs the wooden formwork that acts as a mold for poured concrete.Job Duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Supervise apprentices and other construction workers.
• May prepare cost estimates for clients.

Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school is usually required.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience in the trade.
• Some experience may be required.
