Job Description: Field Services EngineerWeir Motion MetricsVancouver, CanadaHybridPurpose of Role: The Field Services Engineer is a customer advocate comfortable serving clients while delivering high-quality solutions and maintaining stakeholder relationships. The role consists of installing, commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting Weir Motion Metrics products at client mine sites and remotely. Successful candidates should be comfortable working in remote mining environments and around heavy machinery. Significant travel is expected as the company has deployed systems globally, it might be a good opportunity to meet people from different cultures. We believe in fairness and choose to be honest, transparent and authentic in everything we do.Key Responsibilities:Technical Services and Customer Satisfaction: Deliver quality service and support during the installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of Motion Metrics systems while having a thorough understanding of technical aspects of the products and services supported.Self-Management: Manage installation projects assigned and maintenance visits to different regions of the world. Each services trip needs to include travel booking, operations, and logistics.Technical Training: Perform different levels of technical training for different types of audiences either for customers or within the company.Documentation: Create, improve, and propose documentation, such as manuals and instructive guides to ensure the knowledge of the customers and for being used by any member of the organization.Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero-harm behaviors to support our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:Degree in Engineering preferred in the areas of Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronics. At least one year of experience in the mining industry or working with heavy mining equipment is a plus.Fluent in English with excellent spoken and written communication skills. Other languages skills is a plus.Computer skills and experience in Excel, Networking, SalesForce, Office Suite, Cloud computing, Windows & Linux OS, and communication systems would be beneficial.Possess a valid passport, driver’s license and driving experience and willingness to travel frequently, including extended stays in mining locations locally and internationally.Weir Motion Metrics (WMM) is a Canadian mining technology division that enables a new generation of safe, smart, and sustainable mining based in Vancouver, B.C.
