We are seeking a permanent Cyber Security Engineer to join our Control Centre Technology Systems Department in Winnipeg,
Manitoba.
Responsibilities:

Participate in the planning, design, ongoing development, engineering analysis and support, coordination, implementation,
maintenance, security, operation, and monitoring of EMS and OT data systems within the system control centres.

Responsible for leading the support, maintenance, architecture, and evolution of Security Information and Event Monitoring
(SIEM), Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and related applications at the control centre.

Assist in the development and execution of the System Support NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) compliance
program.

Lead System Operations staff to map complex work and compliance processes for analysis and optimization. Implement,
deploy, and support optimized processes leveraging the CMDB, SIEM, and Change Management systems.

Apply DevSecOps principles wherever possible in the development, testing, and maintenance of supported systems.

Provide maintenance and support for all categories of applications used by System Control and related departments at the
control centre.

Keep abreast of data and data system advances applicable to EMS and OT systems.

As required, provide 24-hour support (standby) to the System Control Centre as part of the EMS Infrastructure and
Applications on-call rotation.
Qualifications:

Graduate in Electrical or Computer Engineering from a university of recognized standing with a minimum of four years of
related engineering experience.

Membership in Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba.

Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Training is required and must be completed no later than two weeks after the start date.

Must have completed Standards of Conduct training, or be willing to complete within two weeks of start date.

Obtain and maintain a current Personnel Risk Assessment and a “Clear” security rating in accordance with Manitoba Hydro
policy P513.

Demonstrated effectiveness in performing engineering analysis, developing solutions, and integrating software solutions and
software development best practices. Demonstrated effectiveness in providing technical guidance and problem management
skills to the ongoing operations of computer systems.

Demonstrated experience in the support and maintenance of products such as Splunk, SQL Server, Serviceaide
(ChangeGear), Visual Studio .Net, PowerShell, Internet Information Server, VMware, SANs, scripting tools, and utilities would
be an asset.

Must be willing to work long and unusual hours as part of standby rotation.

Possess a valid Manitoba Driver’s Licence.
Notes:

The successful applicant will reside within the Winnipeg headquarters zone or within a 20 minute travelling distance
from the assembly point during the periods of standby. In the event that this requirement causes the employee to
incur incremental costs during periods of standby, such costs will be the employee’s responsibility.

Notwithstanding the above, it continues to be the Corporation’s preference for employees to regularly reside within
the Winnipeg headquarters zone or within a 20 minute travelling distance from the assembly point.
Salary Range
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $43.44-$59.95 Hourly,
$83,247.84-$114,870.60 Annually.
