Cost Analyst – Actalent

Job Title: Cost Analyst

Location: Calgary, AB

Job Description: Job DescriptionThis role is to support the site turnaround team from both a cost analyst and administration level. It will work closely with project services team and will be involved in forecasting prior to the event and heavy reporting during the event.Responsibilities

• Support the on-site cost tracking process through (excel) and SAP 4S.
• Support the TA and CAP Projects specifically regarding cost control and forecasting.
• Assist the planning team with the Administration of the existing Emergent work process.
• Assist with planning updates if required.
• Support all project and Turnaround Goods receipting through SAP 4S.
• Cost capture for all pre- and post-work
• Invoice reconciliation (actuals vs committed cost) matching to requisitions.
• General data entry and administrative support when required.
• Support building work packs if required.
• Dealing with multiple contract admins for daily cost tracking during execution
• General support for the turnaround event and Orica site

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of Cost Control exp.
• Proficient in all Microsoft programs
• Past exp. using SAP for cost control)
• Excellent Excel skills (Pivot tables, V-look ups
• Knows how to deal with accruals and forecasting
• Past exp. maintenance of reports and cost report building (in excel)
• Past construction cost exp. (ideally will have supported the cost functions on at least 3 projects in the construction phase)
• Good communicator, both verbally and electronic

• Past turnaround exp. (pre-planning and ideally during a turnaround)
• Maximo
• Planning and scheduling
• Past experience creating estimates
• Cost Accounting, Cost Analysis, Financial analysis
• Project controls
• Variance analysis
