Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000Our client is a leading international business law and litigation firm designated as a top employer for 2024. They are searching for a Corporate Paralegal to assist lawyers with various mandates by offering specialized technical legal expertise, including incorporation, research, drafting legal documents, document verification, conveyancing, and more.Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to:

• Conducting minute book reviews
• Managing incorporations including pre- and post-documentation; extra-provincial registrations across Canada (reorganizations, acquisitions, mergers, amalgamations, amendments, revivals, dissolutions, name changes, and continuations)
• Reviewing agreements related to transactions
• Determining and drafting required documentation
• Completing and summarizing due diligence searches
• Organizing and completing closing documentation and closing books
• Completing required provincial or federal corporate filings
• Handling files from beginning to completion with minimal supervision
• Other related tasks or responsibilities

Must Haves

• 10 years’ experience as a Paralegal in a law firm
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word and Excel)
• Knowledge of legislation related to the practice area of law and the ability to exercise independent judgment
• Familiarity with the corporate records database “ALF”
• Experience with the incorporation process under the Corporations Act, public companies, and the Securities Act
• Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously, with strong planning and organizational skills
• Strong drafting capabilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Thorough, meticulous, and detail-oriented
• Highly autonomous and professional
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
