This firm is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to guide projects through the critical phases of construction and execution. You’ll collaborate with diverse teams to ensure smooth project delivery, leveraging your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills. Your expertise in BC’s building codes and municipal processes will be invaluable, making you a trusted resource within the studio.This role is ideal for a licensed architect or architectural technologist with a passion for contract administration and a knack for managing complex timelines without compromising on quality.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of contract administration, including field reporting and contract modifications.
- Conduct and document field reviews, payment certifications, and construction site processes (CCN/RFI/SI).
- Lead site meetings, generate detailed field review reports, and address project deficiencies.
- Maintain meticulous project records to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Apply building science principles to uphold construction excellence.
- Provide strategic advice to clients and teams, resolving issues proactively.
- Navigate procurement processes, contract changes, claims, and delays with expertise.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 5+ years of local experience in contract administration, with proven results.
- AIBC registration (or eligibility) as an architect or architectural technologist.
- Proficiency in Revit, with substantial experience at the working drawing stage.
- Strong document processing and field reporting skills; familiarity with Procore, Onware, and Bluebeam is an asset.
- Expertise in building science, construction methods, and BC building codes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to handle high-pressure situations professionally.
- A valid driver’s license and vehicle for site visits.
