They have established a strong reputation for their expertise and reliable insurance solutions, known for their commitment to customer service, their financial stability, and their ability to provide comprehensive coverage across various industries.ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYAs a Farm Underwriter, you will evaluate diverse farm insurance risks mainly in mid-large farm operations, negotiate policy terms, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide tailored insurance solutions. You will be responsible for underwriting guidelines, regulations, and risk management to make informed decisions and contribute to profitable underwriting practices.ABOUT THE POSITION

• Evaluate, select, negotiate, and price policies assigned to you, mainly agriculture accounts.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance market understanding and ensure quality service, problem-solving, and risk selection.
• Apply best business practices for compliance, internal control, and operational risk management.
• Maintain a working knowledge of company operations and procedures.
• Collaborate on special projects and assignments when required.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 3 years experience in Commercial P&C Underwriting
• Farm Underwriting experience is an asset
• Strong knowledge in commercial underwriting pricing models and guidelines
• Knowledge of MS Office
• Insurance designation such as CIP, FCIP, or CRM or in progress

COMPENSATION

• $65,000 – $77,000 base salary depending on relevant experience negotiable, plus annual bonus
