Salary: Non-union. $79,903 – $99,879 annually: To commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy.

Closing Date: December 31, 2024Position Summary
The Clinical Research Coordinator III collaborates with Investigators and the health care team to assume responsibility for the overall patient management and coordination of several clinical trials at Toronto Western Hospital and St. Michael’s Hospital. This position requires the individual to work 0.8 FTE at UHN and 0.2 FTE at St. Michael’s Hospital. The individual will be employed on a Temporary part time basis at each institution and will need to complete the hiring and onboarding process at each institution.DutiesRecruitment of study participants (e.g. identify and screen potential subjects, obtain informed consent);Coordination of patient visits schedules as per study protocol; execution of all aspects of study visit (e.g. assessment of adverse events, monitoring safety, medication administration, questionnaires, sample collection, including processing and shipment of samples according to clinical protocol);Provides clinical care for patients participating in clinical trials and the implementation and coordination of all aspects of data collection and source documentation, as per UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines;Liaising with sponsor for monitoring/audits and facilitating hosting of regulatory inspections as required;Reviewing and assessing study-related literature;Submission and revision of Research Ethics Board applications;Management of research finances.QualificationsRegistered NurseCurrent registration with the College of Nurses of OntarioBScN preferredAttention to detail and meticulous documentation practiceMinimum one (1) year experience in phase 2 or 3 clinical trialsDemonstrated knowledge and ability to utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing and evaluating patient careEvidence of good physical assessment, psychosocial assessment and patient/family teaching skillsAutonomous clinical critical thinking abilityTraining in ICH/GCP guidelines an assetKnowledge of IATA shipping regulations and basic laboratory procedures an assetExcellent organizational and time management skills requiredStrong analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills requiredAbility to set priorities and work independently with accuracy in a dynamic environmentProficiency with MS Office software – Word, Excel and Power Point preferred.Additional InformationWhy join UHN?In addition to working alongside some of the most talented and inspiring healthcare professionals in the world, UHN offers a wide range of benefits, programs and perks.
