Job Description: Job Description:The Change Specialist ensures that up and coming projects and organizational changes follow a smooth transition by managing the impacts of the change, promoting collaboration between departments, and aligning outcomes with operational goals. Reporting to the Lead, Change Management, the Change Specialist may lead and/or be a support resource on change initiatives, based on business needs, complexity of change and resource availability.Note: This position qualifies for an optional hybrid work schedule after 90 days of onsite work and onboarding. Employee will be subject to the terms of the Flexible Work Policy Agreement.What you’ll do

  • Takes ownership of key change management activities, collaborating with the Lead, Change Management to develop and implement organizational change management plans that support business objectives and ensure the achievement of established adoption metric.
  • Leverages established change management frameworks and methodologies to manage transitions and ensure the successful adoption of changes in policies, processes, and organizational structures.
  • Serves as the Change Lead as needed on projects and organizational change, working with stakeholders to assess change impact, develop a comprehensive plan to ensure successful adoption of change and manage sustainment activities.
  • Guides multiple stakeholder groups through change, ensuring there is proper adoption of new policies, processes, org structure changes and technologies through project reporting on progress, KPIs and other established change adoption metrics.
  • Collaborates with the Seaspan OCM team and other change management professionals to develop and execute on change management activities that require multiple resources for complex organizational change initiatives that have large-scale change impacts.
  • Increases departmental collaboration by consulting with business units to align the project goals with their operational priorities and ensure that changes are well integrated to business operations.
  • Acts as a role model for change within the organization, helping develop and support leadership’s change capabilities. Partners with Learning & Development to design and deliver training aimed at improving change management competencies.
  • Tracks the effectiveness of change adoption initiatives, using reporting and KPIs to identify emerging trends. Provides recommendations for adjustments to enhance adoption and mitigate any resistance to change.
  • Provides necessary support to individuals adjusting to change by directing communications, training, and other change related activities, helping to reduce resistance to changes in policies, processes and technologies.
  • Develops comprehensive plans for post-project and organizational change support, ensuring that the changes remain effective and integrated into everyday business practices. Follows up with leaders to ensure change is sustained.
  • Follows up with leaders and stakeholders for necessary adjustments during business transition to ensure that change adoption is sustained by the business.
  • Investigates and identifies any regression from change adoption and develops a plan to incrementally improve adoption to achieve targeted change adoption metrics.
  • Offers training and resources where needed to mitigate issues.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the field of change management, organizational development, or project management, implementing change initiatives in a corporate environment.
  • Certificate in Change Management or Change Practitioner Certification required.
  • Familiarity with change management frameworks and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and change management software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the capability of communicating effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • A strong understanding of change management principles, practices, and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • High levels of attention to detail, and the ability to multitask, manage multiple projects/tasks at once.
  • Problem solving skills, and strong adaptability skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a collaborative team, and independently.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to managing timelines and delivering on commitments.
  • Strong responsiveness to requests and the ability to investigate and solve complex problems and issues.
  • Ability to make creative recommendations and improvements based on evaluation data.

The estimated salary for this position is $94,000 – $112,800. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate’s skillset and experience as well as position location and internal equity.
