Job Description: Job Description:Our client is searching for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Bookkeeper. If you have a keen eye for accuracy and efficiency in financial data entry and record keeping, auditing, financial reporting, and documentation, we want to hear from you.Key Responsibilities: * Data Entry and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate financial transaction records.
- Input transaction details into our accounting system.
- Create, update, and maintain general ledger accounts.
- Reconcile employee expenses and expense reports.
- Make necessary journal entries, including depreciation.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Processing payments and verifying financial data for records maintenance.
- Managing accounts receivable, including invoice creation.
- Distributing emails related to invoices and bill payments.
- Reconciling payment and financial statement discrepancies.
- Monitoring Aged Payables and Receivables reports for timeliness.
- Bank Entry and Reconciliations:
- Performing regular bank reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies.
- Credit Card Entry and Reconciliations:
- Performing credit card reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting:
- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
- Audit Preparation:
- Assisting in audit documentation and schedules.
- Providing support for internal and external audit requirements.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensuring compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Maintaining organized, up-to-date financial records and documentation.
- Support Senior Accountants:
- Supporting finance department staff with various tasks.
- Assist in ad hoc financial analysis and special projects.
Requirements:Qualifications:
- Diploma in accounting or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of bookkeeping or related accounting experience.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Intact/Sage QuickBooks, Xero, or similar), Sage Intacct experience preferred.
- High level of proficiency in Google Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
