Job Description: Bilingual Lawyer, Labour & Employment – Permanent – 17759About the OpportunityOur client is one of the leading employment and labour law firms in Ottawa. There is a current need for a bilingual associate with 3 or more years’ experience to join their team.Duties include but are not limited to:

• Represent employers in collective bargaining, mediations, arbitrations and civil litigation in both English and French
• Advise clients directly on issues related to education law, including employment standards, human rights, employment contracts, health and safety, workplace policies, HR strategies, and language rights
• Draft legal memoranda, opinions, briefs, pleadings and other legal documents
• Be actively involved in business development

About YouThe successful candidate will have the following:

• 3 or more years’ experience in labour and employment law with specific experience in the area of education
• Those experienced in relevant areas of civil litigation will be considered
• Be an active member of the Law Society of Ontario
• Bilingualism (French/English) is required
