Job Description: Posting Date: December 27, 2024 POSTING #533-24 (Non-Union)Expiry Date: January 3, 2024HURON PERTH HEALTHCARE ALLIANCENOTICE OF VACANCYPOSITION: APPLICATIONS ANALYST – ClinicalFull-TimePOSITION SUMMARY:This position, within the IMPACT Team (a shared IT Department between HPHA and AMGH), will provide support to optimize the use of the clinical IT applications in the hospital through development of tools, refinement of digital workflows , refinement of digital workflows, and offering support to the hospital’s end users. This individual will work closely with physicians, nurses, unit clerks and other staff to maximize efficient and effective use clinical IT applications as it relates to patient care, user satisfaction, clinical productivity and quality outcomes.REPORTS TO: Manager, IT ApplicationsDATE REQUIRED: As Soon As PossibleSALARY: $55.55 to $61.72 per hourQUALIFICATIONS:Education:– Nursing Degree or Diploma– A degree/diploma or certificate in Clinical Informatics is preferred but not requiredExperience:– Five to ten years’ experience in a hospital setting is strongly preferred.– Expertise in workflow analysis, exposure to Hospital Information systems (ie: Meditech) and computer analyst experience strongly desired.– An understanding of clinical flows and basic Health Information Management Processes is desired.– Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.– Experience with Microsoft Office applications is preferred.Abilities:– Initiative, problem identification, resolution and analytical skills are essential.– Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, including the ability to coach, teach clinic staff and physicians.– Strong critical thinking and the ability to apply knowledge at an enterprise level within a complex system environment is essential.– Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.– Strong customer service orientation.Please be advised that we are no longer accepting emailed or paper-based resumes.
