Accountant – Robert Half

Location: Toronto, ON

Job Description: We are in search of an Accountant to join our team located in Toronto, Ontario. This role focuses primarily on accounting coordination and will be a part of our finance team. The job function involves a high volume of transactions, leaning more towards accounts payable than accounts receivable. Your main duties will involve working with our General Ledger system, Travcom, and handling credit card reconciliations. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities:

• Handle the posting of entries to the General Ledger
• Manage the closing of trips and liaise with agents
• Reconcile credit card payments and ensure they are posted to the correct trip
• Handle cash and credit card receipts, with limited direct invoicing
• Use Excel spreadsheets proficiently, including vlookups and pivot tables
• Work on-site for two days a week, with the first 2-3 weeks requiring five days on-site
• Utilize various accounting software systems and ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning tools
• Carry out accounting functions, including both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Conduct auditing and maintenance of the balance sheet account
• Work with ADP – Financial Services and Concur programs.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in an accounting role
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ADP – Financial Services
• Knowledge of Cl Programming
• Experience with Concur
• Understanding of ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning
• Ability to perform Accounting Functions effectively
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Skills in Auditing
• Proficiency in managing Balance Sheet Account
