Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting & Accounting, you will assist with fulfilling the requirements of the company’s internal and external financial reporting and accounting functions collaboratively with internal business groups. This role provides a unique opportunity for building relationships throughout the organization.Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely schedules supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Prepare journal entries, with appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Complete account analyses and reconciliations, as required.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly management reporting packages.
  • Prepare regulatory schedules.
  • Prepare supporting documentation to assist with the external audit process.
  • Seek opportunities for efficiencies and process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Professional accounting designation
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant financial reporting or audit experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry
  • Ability to complete tasks and responsibilities within established deadlines
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Power BI)
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion cloud and/or an ERP system implementation project would be considered an asset
  • Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks
