Reporting directly to the Manager of Affiliate Revenues, this role is part of a team that supports the Affiliates revenue team and our month end processes.As the successful candidate, you have a proven track record for driving continuous improvement in a strong internal controls’ environment. You have excellent communication and analytical abilities, as well as demonstrate an extremely high level of accuracy with excellent attention to details.You will contribute by:
- Responsible for monthly subscriber functions
- Cash/Deposit Monitoring, Batch creation, Cash application, and Invoice adjustment
- Tracking and analyzing subscriber revenue variances, revenue adjustments and receivable balances
- Subledger reports generation and/or analysis
- Prepare monthly miscellaneous journal entries (Revenue, OPEX), and manual billing requests
- Prepare monthly HST Reasonability
- Coordinate with Cable companies on payment and/or remittance inquiries, and issue resolutions.
- Participate in the Month and Quarter end close processes, reconciliations and reporting.
- Assist with testing for Medea system updates/upgrades
- Work with both internal and external auditors by preparing the quarterly audit packages.
- Assist with ad hoc reporting and special projects as required
About YouWhat We Need From You:
- 2-3 years practical work experience with a publicly traded organization
- University or College Degree
- Enrolment in an accounting designation program an asset
- Strong computer skills in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, macro)
- Experience with Great Plains accounting software an asset
- Previous broadcast/subscriber revenue (Medea) experience an asset
- Team player with strong interpersonal communication skills having the ability to work effectively and efficiently with all levels of management in a professional manner
- Being results oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities with conflicting deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and financial skills in a changing environment
- Must have extremely high level of accuracy with excellent attention to details
