Reporting to the Team Lead, Treasury and Revenue Accounting the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and thoroughness of the financial reporting related to PETRONAS’ Marketing activities. This role will provide financial and accounting expertise and advice to support the marketing and hedging of PETRONAS’ natural gas and natural gas liquids production.HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:Liaise with Marketing, Production Accounting, Financial Reporting and other departments to ensure the smooth flow of information and proper tracking of both marketing revenues, processing and transportation costs while meeting tight monthly reporting deadlinesAccurate and timely accrual, invoicing, settlement and booking of physical NGL marketing transactionsMonthly preparation of the financial results of the various commodities and report results to the business unit senior leadership team and with partner accounting teamsAnalysis of transportation and midstream commitments, utilization rates and mitigation activitiesAnalysis and explanation of monthly budget/forecast and accrual price/volume variances to identify trends, anomalies and areas for improvement.Prepare and analyze monthly revenue and account reconciliationsWork with Marketers, Risk Analysts and third parties to ensure completeness and accuracy of transaction dataRespond to internal and external audit inquiriesMaintain desk procedures and identify opportunities for innovative process improvement and automationProvide support and coverage for mid office risk & reporting activitiesWHAT YOU BRING:Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with Eka InSightCM or comparable ETRM systems (such as Allegro or OpenLink).
