Job Description: Job Description:Robert Half Management Resources is the worldwide leader in specialized consulting and staffing services for senior-level accounting, finance and business systems professionals.Our Crown Corporation client seeks a Senior Financial Analyst for a three-month contract with the possibility of extension. In this role you will support Year-End activities.The Senior Financial Analyst’s duties will include:· Ensuring financial data integrity and security in the general ledger and subledgers· Providing authoritative advice regarding Public Sector Accounting Practices.· Coordinating year-end closing activities across the organization including communication, accounting and reconciliation of ledgers,· Preparing payroll accounting and reconciliations· Preparing a wide variety of reports including statutory reports, Public Accounts reports, and payroll reports· Developing and improving tools for presentation and analysis.· Other duties as requiresRequirements:The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:· Post-secondary education in a relevant field· Five years’ experience performing period-end closing activities· Working knowledge of Public Sector Accounting Standards· Experience with Great Plains Dynamics a strong asset· CPA designation or working towards a strong asset· Strong oral and written communication skills in French and English· Ability to obtain enhanced reliability status
