Job Description: Position: Database Administrator
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Duration: 80 Days + 250 Days ExtensionTechnical Skills and Experience:

• 10+ years experience Oracle Database Administrator including Oracle RDBMS, Data Guard, Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Oracle Vault, Oracle Security/Encryption, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) on RedHat Linux Enterprise.
• 2+ years of experience with Oracle Golden Gate
• Experience with installing and testing new versions i.e., upgrading from Oracle 12c version of 19c.
• Working knowledge of features such as Oracle Multitenant option, Oracle Active Data Guard Far Sync, in-memory database, RMAN backup/recovery, fail-over, data masking, security, and new data types.
• Experience with install, patch, and maintenance of all Oracle software
• Experience with performance tuning all Oracle instance components including SQL and PL/SQL for application databases.
• Hands-on Experience in Azure Cloud including VM, Storage, Network, Security, Key Vault, Backup/Recovery, Scripting/Automation and maintaining data standards while adhering to the Data Protection Act

Problem-Solving Skills:

• 5+ years experience with troubleshooting, problem solving, performance tuning, infrastructure, application, and data related issues.
• Experience with Oracle database version upgrade and migration issues
• Proficient in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementing solutions

Project Management Skills:

• 2+ years experience with project planning and execution

Soft Skills:

• Ability to communicate regularly with project and operational teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills
• Proven track record for building strong working relationships.
• A demonstrated team player with a track record for meeting deadlines
