Then, watch for a unique link in your email to apply.Job description: Building OperatorLocation: VancouverWe are looking for a highly motivated Building Operator to join our Operations team in Vancouver. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for monitoring and adjusting building equipment to ensure maximum efficiency. With a customer service focused mindset, you will also ensure all tenant and operation teams’ requests are completed in a timely manner.As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:Monitoring the day-to-day operations/repairs of the building’s HVAC equipment (including pumps, motors, fans, Variable speed drives, compressors, etc.), Life Safety systems, building automation systems and lighting systemsWater treatment program, regular water tests and addition of chemicalsPreventative maintenance on all building and HVAC equipment including small plumbing repairs and drain clearingTimely responses/resolutions of all tenant requests logged through tenant portal, and ensuring there is on-going communication with tenants regarding any mechanical/HVAC issuesLiaising with service providers and contractorsReviewing and monitoring contracted work to ensure everything is being performed in safe manner, as well as compliant with building standardsDeveloping energy priorities for building systems to keep in line with Oxford’s sustainability practices and objectives, including daily energy management of HVAC and lighting systemsGeneral maintenance and other duties as requestedTo succeed in this role, you have:A minimum of 2 years of technical and mechanical building operations experienceExtensive knowledge and experience operating HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical, BAS, FAS and Life Safety Systems in a Class A office/retail complex4th Class Power Engineering CertificationSkills in blueprint reading, as applied to technical areasExceptional skills in communication, organization, customer service, interpersonal and time managementThe ability to work with minimal supervision12hr shift work including week endsMust be able to lift 25lbMust be able to climb and safely use laddersGood communication skills and must be a team playerFor this position specifically, the annualized base salary range is $63,000 – $75,000.
